I’ve stayed in older hotels which were great. It comes down to care and maintenance.

Liked: Bed was very comfortable. Loved the quaint 'restaurant' although that word is a stretch... food selection was minimal and there was no bar, just a few drinks to choose from. It could be so much more.
Disliked: Overpriced. even with exceptional ratings. There was no microwave in the room for that price. Restaurant closed too early, and food selection was minimal and there was no bar, just a few drinks to choose from. It could be so much more.

Nice Place

Liked: Room was fairly nice, but it was the little things that were noticed and appreciated. Hand held shower head with good pressure. Comfortable beds with nice comforter and 4 fluffy pillows per bed. Very nice prepared information book was put together in the room for guests to review. Nice solar lights illuminated walkways automatically while walking outside. Beautiful real wood burning fireplace in hotel lobby made a very nice ambience. The difference from ordinary and extraordinary is the word "extra." These little extras did not go unnoticed.
Disliked: Oblong toilet set installed on a round commode was not a hood fit

Disliked: My husband and I decided to stay here for one night as a treat. We are locals about 20 mins away in a small town and we're questioned upon arrival of the reason we wanted to stay here because other people from our small town had caused issues while staying here before us.

Disliked: Room was infested with fleas - nec to clean the room ourselves - they would attach to our socks and then they were in our bed
