Given the amount we spent,...

Liked: The hotel is located at the Lower Slaughter which is close to lots of other Cotswolds villages. And the hotel building looks gorgeous.
Disliked: We had one junior suite and one deluxe room. Unfortunately the rooms were clean but super dusty. It is probably the carpets or curtains I am not sure. But my husband is very allergic and very struggled to stay even one night. And during the breakfast my sourdough bread that came with avocado and eggs was nearly burnt ,very hard to eat. Since I had eaten croissant at the beginning I didn't care too much about the bread and left it. And the last thing this hotel is not for families with kids.It is a super quiet hotel. There are no facilities or even a painting paper there for them. If they would like to keep the concept like that , they should announce their self as an 'only adults hotel'. The first time we really struggled to keep our daughter busy, she was bored a lot.

Great stay ... very expensive,...

Liked: Location, the building, the ambience ... all amazing. The ground floor areas, and dining areas all really nicely detailed, bed was very comfortable, and the staff very attentive.
Disliked: The rooms, (we paid for 2 junior suites at close to £500 each), although large, and with great views, were very underwhelming. No design detail, nothing like I expected seeing the main areas downstairs ..

Refunded part stay

Disliked: Poor service. Did not service room and breakfast service very poor. Walked out as long wait for table service. Not enough staff to do a good job. Quality of breakfast on days we did get it was poor and overpriced. Will not go back and would not recommend. Did get a partial refund but had to chase that even after it was agreed.
