Review for the Sir Thomas

Liked: The hotel on the whole was good and in a nice central position.
Disliked: The restaurant let our stay down, the first breakfast was very nice.The evening meal was not so good. There were 6 of us, each couple ordered separately but very close together. The first meals came out very quickly, the 2nd couple had to wait longer, we'd ordered 3 small plates of which 2 were garlic prawns, these were just awful, way overcooked and unchewable. So dissapointed. The 3rd couple had an even longer wait, one of them received part of their order but had to wait for the rest and that came with the last person's food - everyone else had finished so he ate alone. The restaurant manager was very apologetic and refunded the 2nd couple but they went out hungry.The Sunday morning breakfast was a buffet and most of it was not warm . Very let down by the food.

Liked: The hotel is really lovely, staff are pleasant,bar was lovely, liked the fact if you stay here you could still.get a drink after bar closed.1 complaint,the reception took £40 more off c card,realised their mistake and yet I have to wait 7 10 days for it to go back on to my card,that's not right,it wasn't my mistake, all in all a lovely stay.
Disliked: 1complaint as above.

Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was good one day but the bain maries were not heated on the Sunday so our food was cold.
Disliked: The small PURPLE room, the small uncomfortable bed. The bar closed on Sat night at 10pm

Liked: Staff were great. Location is brilliant. Cleaning ladies were brilliant and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was fab
