Liked: Fantastic location in the mountains with wonderful views. Friendly and kind hosts, nice breakfast. Really peaceful.
Disliked: I did not realize that Silver Lake Lodge is over 20 minutes drive up into the mountains from Idaho Spring. It would help if this is clear on the information, because I'd originally planned to drive up late in the evening for my first night but this would have been difficult. Also at over 10,000 ft elevation there is a risk of altitude sickness if you are not already acclimatized,

Disliked: The ads for this property made it sound like an upscale place, when in fact it was a run down bed and breakfast in a run down area in the middle of nowhere.

Liked: The hostess was super friendly and accommodating. The lodge was lovely, and the scenery was spectacular. The breakfast was first class and yummy.
