Liked: Comfy bed ,clean room nice staff on arrival
Disliked: Locked up by 9 and was locked up in the morning to although advertised as having a bar and restaurant it was closed by then. Didn't seem to be manned overnight so little more than an air bnb really . If you only want a room then great .If you like a hotel bar then choose elsewhere .

It was ok but for...

Liked: I liked some of the historical features. The staff were very friendly.
Disliked: The road noise was horrendous, no double or secondary glazing. The mattress on the bed was like sleeping on a sponge.

Lovely little gem

Liked: Where do we start? After a bad experience with a booking the previous evening, we were lucky there was a cancellation at The Silk House. From the moment we pulled up outside the hotel Nicholas was warm and welcoming. Check in was seamless and we had drinks in our hotel room which was clean and comfortable.Before we went for dinner we had drinks in the bar, the owners recommended places to eat and drink and even offered to cook some food if we were unable to find a table as we didn’t have a reservation anywhere.The morning after we were offered complimentary fresh coffee and a friendly chat. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and only wish we had spent the whole weekend there.Thank you again

Liked: Convenient to everything in Leek places to eat and shop . Also many tourist places to visit eg Alton Towers and Peak District. A very good venue for weddings etc or events local It was verynice and Staff a d Owner very helpful and
