Enjoyable and friendly stay.

Liked: I absolutely loved this gem of a place. It is so quirky and full of charm. The owner is amazing. Debbie is friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is great. I had an evening meal which was tasty and the beef burger was homemade. Delicious. There's a good choice of breakfast as well. I had smoked salmon with scrambled egg one morning and a full English breakfast the next. Both delicious and nothing was too much trouble for Debbie. Thank you for looking after me and I will definitely stay here again if I return to Shepton Mallet.

Liked: The hotel is in a good location, close to the town centre. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely at the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful. Ample parking. The only thing I would say is that the decor, hotel interior and bedrooms need a bit of TLC. The bathroom carpets need to be removed as not very hygienic. The bed was too soft for me but husband was fine with it so that is personal preference. Not much happening in Shepton Mallet itself but nearby Wells was lovely and worth a visit

Liked: My room was clean and had everything I needed. I knew I would be returning late to the hotel each night so was very pleased to find I was automatically given a front door key. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Overall I felt the hotel looked a little tired but it didn’t put me off
