Liked: Great friendly staff, and the food was really excellent quality.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike really. Bathroom needs a little tlc and updating but still always clean and functional. But I'm a fitter so always critical of these things.

Great hotel with excellent rooms...

Liked: Super friendly staff, from the welcoming receptionist to the serving staff at breakfast- all very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, with generous space and lovely ensuite. Location in the middle of Carrickmacross was perfect. Breakfast choices very good and food lovely. A wonderful stay...we will return.

Liked: The majority of staff were excellent and very helpful, the hotel is in a great location. The food was lovely.
Disliked: On arrival at the Shirley Arms ( an establishment we have visited a few times without issue) we were asked if we had read the email telling us there was a christmas party on and there may be increased noise. We said yes, we had read the email. We were told that our room was in a quieter part of the hotel away from the function room. We expected some extra noise but, in fact, could hear everything from the party, every song (the band was good
