Good
Liked: We love visiting Eastbourne and the Sheldon is very near the theatres which we like to take in when possible.
Disliked: Unfortunately on this occasion the room We had. Had an unfortunate odour when entering the room. Hopefully this will be addressed with the upcoming renovations over the winter.

Great stay in stylish hotel
Liked: Had room 30 on the first floor. It's an old 1870 building so lovely high ceilings. My single room was not large but had good size ensuite. Nice to have a desk and chair rather than have to sit on her to watch tv. Had black out curtains which was good and the road was very quiet. The public areas are lovely and the decor is very eclectic and stylish. The breakfast is lovely. Great choice of cereals and extra toppings like nuts and fruits. Enjoyed my mushroom omelette and the filter coffee was good. Only stayed one night, but definitely will be back as great accommodation on good location.
Disliked: The door on room 30 does rattle a bit when people go past. There is a small self which is useful by the bed, but I did hit my head on it. Was careful afterwards though and not a major problem.

Beautiful b&b with great staff...
Liked: Walking distance to restaurants, pier and beach. Very helpful staff (including CK the dog!), spacious lounge and breakfast area, lovely breakfast in a beautiful historic building. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Disliked: Bedroom was quite small but not sure if ours reflected others in the property.

Very good
Liked: Loved the location - so close to the seafront & pier & town centre, but also so quiet. Parking was a bonus & a key reason for my booking. Breakfast was ample - choice of cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit & then a cooked option. Useful folder in room giving specific information to the property & recommendations for eating out. Not that I used them, but I loved the lounge areas / use of dining area for own use & the honesty bar. Was a great location to explore the area & I will recommend / return if back in the locality.
Disliked: The wifi in my room (single room 30) was not good enough for me to work on my laptop in the evening - it took ages for things to upload/download which was a real frustration. Whilst the parking was advantageous, it is tight - on one morning I could not get into my driver's door! The passenger side was also not possible to access as I had deliberately parked very closely to a wall.... so I had to climb into the car through the boot.... not ideal but at least I was able to do so!

Good
Liked: Quite quirky, they’ve added a bit of colour and character to the interior. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast although not expansive was nicely made. Good location near to the front and a few restaurants nearby.
Disliked: As with a lot of older seaside properties they are quite tired buildings. Fixtures and fittings (showers, windows etc.) are dated and not in amazing shape, but for a short stay of 2 nights it’s not a huge issue as we just needed somewhere to sleep.
