Disliked: The description for the room stated it had a balcony but this was incorrect it so small only one person could stand at the rail and look out.. no chair or table

Great location but spoiled by...

Liked: Hotel is well appointed and located in a good central location for Auckland attractions.
Disliked: To start with we were allocated a smaller room than we booked and paid for on the 1st night of our 4 night stay.Biggest problem was the noise from the The Fox English Pub which is located beneath the hotel. We stayed over a weekend and the noise from the drunken partying crowds and the music playing was intolerable and kept us awake late in the night/morning on Friday, Saturday and particularly Sunday nights. The noise travels straight up into the rooms and is unbelievable. This went on until well past 1 am each night and hotel staff were powerless to do anything to stop this.This completely destroyed our stay here and we will not be back.
