Liked: A very strategic hotel, easy to reach, closed to restaurant and in the center of Edinburgh
Disliked: When i want to take my luggage, one of The receptionist, see me in disgust ways..she actually the one who accepting me while I’m check in, When i wanna having breakfast at the hotels restaurant, my name wasn’t there, luckily the staff let us having our breakfast while she confirmed my order, then she came and said that because soo many guest came at same time with me, someone mistakenly written my name and it also happen to the other couples..how un professional is that for such a big and expensive hotelThe most disturbing thing is i just found 2 lift in the hotel that only fit for 6 mans, my room only can be accessed by one lift..what an inconvenient

Liked: The staff were absolutely amazing, we had unexpected issues from our pre booked accommodation from somewhere else and the staff at the Scotsman Hotel were exceptional for making a new home for our holiday, last minute and went above and beyond to cater for 3 of us, 2 rooms, great prices, great rooms, options to share a room to save money if needed, they were fantastic, well done to the staff at the Scotsman, definitely all deserve a pay rise from management.

Great for a Weekend Sightseeing

Liked: Location is perfect - easy walking to all the main areas. Staff friendly. Drams left in the room were a nice touch. Car park 10m away but process and walk smooth.
Disliked: Room overlooked from close windows across street. Staff failed twice to execute simple requests after several hours. Gym is minimal with a manual treadmill. Lifts are few and slow.
