Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely comfortable room. Overall, an excellent place to stay, most comfortable and convenient.

Due to location, great place...

Liked: Location is amazing, staff are really friendly, small size of hotel makes it feel like quite a personal place. Buffet breakfast with choice of hot breakfast was really good but order (and pay for) proper coffee as the standard coffee provided is awful. Water and milk provided daily in mini-fridge was a nice touch. Comfy bed.
Disliked: The cleanliness of the plates, glasses and cups was questionable, particularly at breakfast. Service in the pub/dining was mixed- some staff were brilliant and others were hopeless.

Liked: The breakfast was incredibly good, the beds were comfortable, the localisation is very close to St James Park which is a marvelous stroll in the early morning. I was able to leave my luggage at the reception before the room was prepared, making for a really good experience.
Disliked: There was a consistent ventilation noise coming from the street, it was muted as much as possible by the double window but that's to be expected in a dense city. It stopped at around 11pm, so it was still ok.
