Beautiful Hotel

Liked: Beautiful rooms and great breakfast

Not as boutique as the...

Liked: Hotel was clean, but Wi-Fi was inoperative with staff not having any idea about the issue or plan to fix. Room was a bit shabby: curtains weren’t properly attached to curtain rail. Tv controller was only partially working: suspect the batteries were flat. Bathroom fan doesn’t work and bathroom lights were flickering. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Generally quiet, though I was woken by some clattering around 6am (probably when breakfast was being prepared)

Comfortable, had everything we needed.

Liked: The location was brilliant as well as the staff , they were very helpful and friendly. Room was what we needed. All i would say is at parts it was a bit unclean in the bathroom and the TV was incredibly high up. Would definitely come back.

Liked: Very polite staff who went out there way to help. Nice 15 minute walk to old town or plenty of buses.Plenty bars and restaurants nearby.
Disliked: Wish I had stayed longer.

Nice place, very warm reception...

Liked: Nice building, great location only 30 mins walk into city centre. Staff were incredibly helpful, able to leave luggage and pick up before our train time. Room had everything you needed (fridge, hairdryer, nice towels) including toiletries and spare toothbrushes etc.
Disliked: Only a few issues but they wouldn’t prevent us from staying again in the future:- the beds didn’t match, twin room with 2 different sized beds which was odd- the towel rail was on constantly making a small en-suite very hot- windows were sealed shut so no opportunity for fresh air in the room- no cooked breakfast which we didn’t expect (I must’ve missed that on the description) however great choice of continental breakfast and toasted bagels/toast available.

Pleasant stay in Edinburgh

Liked: Lovely stay, nice breakfast and breakfast room, comfortable room and simple self check in after our late evening flight to Edinburgh. Communication good.
