Great beginning and stay except...

Liked: The pool was great, the access to the beach was so convenient not to mention all the restaurants at the hotel. The woman who checked us in was so nice and helpful. The room was comfortable with a stunning view.
Disliked: When we checked out, the woman who checked us out was rude and sassy. Unfortunately that was the last experience we had with the resort and it wasn’t a good one. It almost negated the awesomeness of the woman who checked us in.

Beautiful views, scammy vibes

Liked: The pool and the view are stunning! It was a good location for exploring all of Kauai.
Disliked: When we checked in, the room we had booked was apparently not available, so instead they tried to sell us an upgrade to a more expensive room for an additional $300. This gave us really weird vibes; obviously if we booked a room and it’s not available, then they have to either find us a different room for free or refund us. Ultimately they did give us an upgraded room for free but it was super weird that they first tried to get us to pay $300 for THEIR mistake. It seemed like they were just trying to get as much money from us as possible the whole stay. It was was $30/night to self-park our car, $45 for the “resort fee” which basically only gets you a low quality plastic water bottle…you name it, there was a fee. Then in our “upgraded” room the shower smelled mildewy and there was someone’s hair stuck on the walls. We are pretty easygoing travelers but just did not feel this resort was worth the money at all.

Liked: Perfect location, direct access to beach, large swimming pool area, parking nearby rooms
Disliked: A bit pricey

Perfect stop to stay on...

Liked: The location of the hotel was good, easy to drive either to the north side of the island or the the west side of the island. Staff were very friendly and genuine! The upkeep of the property was impeccable and cleanliness was excellent!
Disliked: No complaints

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: They didn't refresh the room during the stay. The food was bland and overpriced. Not a warm welcome or even water for the room. Huge issue with booking when I wanted to edit the dates. The front desk and booking staff were of no help.
