We really loved the welcome,...

Liked: Friendly relaxed welcome. Lovely breakfast.
Disliked: Facilities were a little basic in need of freshening up a little. The property is right on the road and my bed was right under the window making it difficult to sit up in bed comfortable and exaserbating the road noise as a result. Not sure if bed could have been on the other wall.

Most dog friendly place we've...

Liked: This is a wonderful and historic place. The landlord Sue is extremely welcoming and the place is, without doubt, the most dog friendly place we've ever come across. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Royal Oak and certainly stay there again without any hesitation.
