Liked: Not much really to like! Comfy mattress. Good location and parking available in market place, paid in morning as after 6.30 free till 9 am ish.
Disliked: No response from hotel when messaged and in the end we felt like they just took our money and were happy with that regardless of the service. We tried to book breakfast on arrival and told not possible as they needed to order food in so disappointing and different to what booking.com say. however, probably a good thing as the place was grubby. the alert and very young lad who greeted us and offered to take our bags up was very pleasant even though he was made to look small by a barmaid who contradicted him telling him we had booked dinner not a room. He was right so maybe some training on how to speak to junior staff needed. Pleasant barmaid at end of evening when we returned. I had enquired about parking and needed to check no dog had been in our room due to allergy, plus a feather bedding allergy, prior to travel but no response. Overpriced. £110 room only for quite a tired and not too clean room. Sticky tables in bar which appeared to have been cleaned, dirty floor, dirty shower and itchy after sleeping in bed sheets scratchy. We arrived, dropped bags and left for a prebooked event. Didn’t see shower till the morning but unsure how cleaners could miss the filth on the shower tube. The photo is following some wiping to make it cleaner! Very hard pillows. Some mould which can be removed as I did it at bottom of shower door and wall. Carpet felt tacky so maybe needs changing. No one around when we left so gave keys to someone in bar who didn’t realise we were guests. Noise from bedroom next door very clear to hear the conversation so if you want privacy be aware everyone can hear you. Place would benefit from deep clean and update on decor in rooms. Looks better on the photos on booking.com than it is. Didn’t feel anyone was that interested that we were guests not that we needed special treatment but perhaps could be more professional.

Liked: Located in nice village, we were just passing through but I’d come back to have a look around
Disliked: The bed was completely collapsed on the left hand side when we arrived and no staff to report too as we checked in later
