In the center of Lyme Regis just 492 feet from the beach the Royal Lion Hotel has a pool sauna and games room. Some rooms have sea views and balconies. All rooms have a TV with Freeview tea/coffee making facilities and modern bathroom. The Royal Lion Inn is a 400-year-old former coaching inn and its rooms feature classic décor. The indoor pool is next to the spa bath and sauna. The games room has full-size snooker pool and table tennis tables. The Royal Lion also has 2 guest lounges and offers free Wi-Fi. There is an additional fee of £10 a night for parking (per car) The Oak Room restaurant serves a full cooked breakfast. Evening meals feature local seasonal produce and children's menus are available. The bar has original fireplaces and paneled walls and the courtyard cafe provides outdoor dining. They serve real ales light meals and home-made cakes. Lyme Regis Harbor and the Philpot Museum are both within 10 minutes' walk. Lyme Regis seafront is part of the Jurassic Coast a World Heritage Site.

Very good

Liked: Room was great , clean , comfy and nice size. Restaurant and bar was very nice with lovely helpful staff.
Disliked: Receptionist upon arrival was very unwelcoming, rude and belittling.

Liked: Amazing location in the heart of Lyme Regis, lovely stay. Sharon was lovely to us. Just one night but we will be back.

Lovely stay in a very...

Liked: A beautiful old, historic hotel right in the heart of Lyme Regis. Favourite bits: character of the hotel, location of hotel and free welcome drinks!We were travelling with our 3month old daughter who needed a travel cot which was kindly provided. Overall we had a great visit, lovely breakfast too!
Disliked: The only con was there is no lift and lots of different levels with stairs which meant it was difficult with a pram, but I fully appreciate this can’t be helped due to the age of the property.
