Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

Liz, Durham, visiting Playhouse Whitley Bay Sun, 7 April 2024

We were a bit dubious when we arrived as there was scaffolding up which we weren’t informed about; however, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Liked: Friendly service; comfortable bed and room was very clean.
Disliked: A lot of stairs.

Amazing with an unfortunate situation

Liked: Breakfast had a good variety. Good location for everything.I asked to be put in the room that I saw and thought I'd booked on website and was immediately moved
Disliked: Polish male receptionist needs to have more common curtesy when looking at a female i.e me when dressed going out.Make me feel uncomfortable. The room I was in attention to little details screws loose

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Not happy

Liked: Walking along the beach and the cafe next door was lovely
Disliked: The photos of the rooms were nothing like rooms. There was building work being done. To be honest it was quite depressing and wasn't worth the £200 for 2 nights. If i was told there was scaffolding up on the building i wouldn't have booked. The bed was so uncomfortable
