Liked: Lovely Victorian style decor. Very comfortable. Service attentive but friendly and relaxed. Nice and quiet despite other rooms being used. Fresh , clean. A bonus to our weekend event. We will come again , even without a planned event.Thank you.

An EXCEPTIONAL Stay at an...
Liked: Our stay at the Royal Hotel Featherston was one of our ultimate highlights on our trip! Our room was decorated so elegantly, the bathroom was incredible, the dresser was full of warm hospitality items, the Featherston book was so creatively done and fun to read, the hotel felt so historic, and the town was amazing! Don't forget to see the ONLY fell rail engine in the world, the INCREDIBLE cheese shop, and the bakery. This is a must stop place and the hotel took our stay to the next level!
Disliked: Nothing!

Good
Liked: An idiosyncratic hotel. The dinner here was great. Lovely bathroom. Hotel obviously a local social hub.
Disliked: Featherstone itself a one horse town. Our Queen room was small and dark. The traffic noise was a real problem as the hotel is on a junction.

Beautiful rooms, great food &...
Liked: The rooms are excellent. Very comfortable & decadent. A little on the "cozy" size if you like a bigger room but they were perfect for us. As coffee snobs, we were most happy to find plunger coffee & a plunger in the room so we could get our fix first thing. Beds are very comfortable & we had a great night's rest. There was some confusion at breakfast as you need to fill out a card the night before to get breakfast early. Because we had to leave, there was a chance we'd miss the breakfast we'd paid for but the staff were so accommodating & made us coffee whilst the kitchen prepared us a couple of takeaway breakfast rolls. Made us feel particularly valued.
Disliked: The dinner service was slow. Full disclosure...it was a special evening (Valentine's Day) & they were very busy so I'm sure under normal circumstances this wouldn't be an issue. Wasn't a massive problem & gave us the chance to have a great chat with the couple seated beside us. Still a very enjoyable dinner.
