Not impressed for the high...

Liked: Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice hotel and in a great location, but for the price I expected a LOT better.
Disliked: Most bigger hotels in this price range at least give you a breakfast buffet. I'd like to see that added, Also, a much better in house convenience store would be nice. The one they had had a very poor selection of drinks etc. And lastly, their pool is microscopic. I understand that it's a beach front hotel, but many people are uncomfortable in the Ocean.

If you have just one...

Liked: We had an ocean view room on the 15th floor with an incredible panorama of the entire beach including Diamondhead. By coincidence, our stay included a fabulous fireworks display for which we had a front row seat. Our fantastic dinner outside at Azure was a magical experience and quality of the food and drinks at the Mai Tai Bar exceeded our expectations. Close access to shopping was also a plus.
Disliked: Can't think of anything.

Exceptional

Liked: My wife and I enjoyed every moment we spent at the Royal Hawaiian. The location is excellent, with a plus for the beach accessible by guests. Staff are all very competent and super polite. We will keep great memories of this resort.

Disliked: to be told we can only have one umbrella in a downpour when there was an entire container of them was disappointing.
