This hotel is beside the River Tay a minute from Perth Museum and Horsecross Concert Hall. Rooms are en suite and many have views of the river and the hotel's award-winning gardens. The Royal George restaurant serves traditional Scottish food with river views. Fresh farm and local market ingredients are used. Breakfast lunch afternoon tea high tea and dinner served with daily specials. In the MacGregor Lounge Bar choose from world wines fine beers and over 50 Scottish malt whiskeys and Scottish Gins. The sun lounge offers views of The River Tay and Perth Bridge. The hotel offers a complimentary fitness suite with running machine eSpinner bike rowing machine and a selection of free weights kettle bells and stretch mats for the exclusive use of hotel guests. There is also and onsite residents games room with free play pool table gaming machine and table football. The Royal George is over 200 years old and was once visited by Queen Victoria. It is a short walk from Perth High Street. St Andrews Gleneagles and Carnoustie golf courses are within driving distance. 19 free car parking spaces are available on a first come first served basis. The hotel has a gun room for groups of shooters. Free high-speed WiFi is offered in all areas. Hotel does not operate with a elevator all rooms are accessible by stairwell only.

Perfect location for a concert.

Liked: Location was great and bed very comfortable. Great pressure in the shower. Large bedroom.
Disliked: The breakfast was a little uninspiring but staff very welcoming

Great location but poor WiFi

Liked: Great position in town. I have stayed at the George many times.
Disliked: Wi-Fi non existing in my room. Staff rebooted router which helped momentarily.Mattress very hard

Lovely hotel in great location

Liked: Beautiful hotel - v well-decorated. All the staff were incredibly nice, particularly the servers at breakfast!

Cleanstaff excellent so helpful

Liked: Everything except the bed was not comfortable but did not spoil our stay, Location excellent staff amazing would defo visit again
