Liked: Wonderful hotel right in the centre of Bath's Royal Crescent. The staff were perfect, helpful and attentive. Many small details marked the stay, which shows the quality of the establishment (magnificent building, splendid interior).The room we stayed in (we had an upgrade) was on the back side of the hotel and had its own little terrace; it was very large with a bedroom area, a ‘sitting’ room, a very large bathroom and an entrance hall.We had no direct neighbours, so the room was very, very quiet.The breakfast was excellent (small buffet, and menu offering different types from full English to eggs benedict, and a vegetarian menu).The spa was very pleasant (too bad the sauna wasn't working, but the hammam, bubble bath and swimming pool were). We went there often and there were never more than 5 of us in the spa. We had also booked a treatment (‘work it out’ massage), which was absolutely brilliant (many thanks to Meg)!

Liked: This is an exceptional & lovely little hotel in the historic centre of Bath. Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived, the staff, the lovely spacious bedroom, an amazing garden & delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. It is expensive but worth every penny for a special occasion in this case an 80th Birthday.
