Liked: Breakfast was excellent. Very comfortable areas to relax downstairs near reception with roaring fire.

Lovely country retreat

Liked: This is a lovely retreat, away from the human drum of busy life. Nice country hotel and lovely food, staff and surroundings.
Disliked: Only small point was our shower room in our room, we almost couldn't get through the enclosure doors as it is very small and fitted into the coombs.

Very comfortable

Liked: Very comfortable room, good shower and plenty of space. Warm open fireplaces, very friendly staff and they love dogs. Also the food in the restaurant is good quality. To top this off, there is a charging point on the parking. Important when you travel with an electric car. A ten from us and we will be pleased to come back

A lovely, comfortable friendly hotel.

Liked: The well supplied tea tray. The pleasant decor and comfortable seats and sofas in the lounge. The excellent mattress and bed linen. The good shower.
Disliked: The view of a modern roof from my bedroom window. The very smoky air quality from the open log fire in the entrance hallway and lounge during afternoon check-in.
