Not worth it IMO, unfortunately.

Liked: I had high hopes for this hotel, since it's the only hotel per se in Beacon (there are spa hotels, Air B&Bs, etc. but this is the only hotel in town, as far as I know). Hotel is located closest to areas I needed to get to this time around, and the waterfall is always beautiful (waterfall terrace closed in winter - in summer, it's spectacular for drinks/dinner).For $249/night, I expected a LOT more. Several dings to our stay that I feel compelled to mention here, esp since the hotel manager was supposed to get back to me on one of them (the dirty sheet issue - read on), and never did. Two front desk people left this manager a note, and yet no response whatsoever.
Disliked: When we first got to the room, I noticed a lot of water staining in the bathroom - tested to see if it was just general corrosion of the fixtures (which would have been another issue entirely), but it was all easily wiped off so assume it's possibly salts from the water in the shower, or lack of the fan being used when someone showers in the bathroom that might be causing this. In any case, the bathroom is not as clean as I would have hoped, since these deposits seem to be all over the place. Housecleaning needs to pay attention here. Additionally, the bathroom sink faucet dripped in closed position, and the bathroom door would not stay open without wedging one of the tourist brochures under it - the door is also scratched/beaten up quite a bit - didn't seem intentional (ie industrial chic), just looked like it needed a pretty substantial paint touch up. When we tried to stream to the TV screen from our multiple devices (we tried two different iPhones and an iPad), despite the clunky process to set up, we couldn't get it to work. I called the front desk and got, "yeah, it hasn't been working for awhile, sorry about that." Seems like an easy fix for one of the staff who's IT minded, but the hotel doesn't seem to feel it's worth pursuing, obviously.Kicker was when we turned in for the night, and I pulled back the sheets on my bed. There was a rust colored stain (I think it was dried blood) about half the size of one's index finger along one of the sides of the flat sheet, approx near where one's hip would be. I called the front desk, and a very nice young man came up with replacement sheets, and was very apologetic. He mentioned something about this being a "frequent problem" (ie there were multiple prior complaints recently ... ?) and the sheet got replaced.
