Liked: Staff were brilliant. Could not of been more accommodating. Food / breakfast and service was perfect. Decent car park. Fresh towels. Catered for my dairy and gluten free partner exceptionally well. Complimentary books and dvds to use during stay
Disliked: Definitely run down. On a busy road. There was water damage / holes in our ceiling. Mismatched tiles in bathroom. Didn't feel very cosy, was very basic but was fine for what we needed, a quick 1 night stay and breakfast.

Liked: Just off the motorway. Big room, delightful staff and excellent breakfast. Loads of free parking.

Excellent value for money.

Liked: Great value for money and truly dog friendly. Food was top value, on a Wednesday beautiful home made Lamb/mint Pie and veg. plus pint for £13.50 …delicious! Staff, well they couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, deffo one of this hotel’s main assets, very clean room , warm and comfy and rounded off with a great tasty breakfast selection before you head off.
Disliked: What’s not to like at a hotel at this price.

Sleepless noisy night

Liked: Facilities were good for an old century hotel . We knew traffic roundabout would be busy BUT did not expect noise such as a fan ,air conditioning or boiler from area below our bedroom 14 to keep us awake all night . Timing was on 20 secs, twice as loud for 40 secs then halts with a loud bang. After approx 1.2 mins started again .all night .Also Nov 5th no heat until early am Did mention these problems to a lady at breakfast and she said she had no idea .We were above kitchen by the looks of it when we went into car park .Paid for Superior Room Brenda Wright
