Very comfortable winter weekend stay...

Liked: The room was well furnished and comfortable although the bed was large for room size this wasn't a problem. The bathroom overall was satisfactory but the shower really good.. The continental breakfast was excellent everything you would expect and unexpected delicious warm puff pastry ham 'envelopes freahly baked. .
Disliked: On booking and in room the evening menu had venison, roast pork an several other main courses not offered on Saturday which was disappointing as dishes offered and chosen were neither as well prepared as could be and disappointing -

Relaxing older style hotel with...

Liked: Really enjoyed staying in this hotel, it has character, we stayed in a charming room in the cottage style side of the building, very comfortable bed warm and cosy, if you like older style buildings this is for you, a great experience and will use again at some point, super continental breakfast available and cooked breakfast for an extra charge but the continental was very good and lots of choice

Liked: Not a lot
Disliked: Difficult to book in. Tried to piut us out into an annex. Grumpy staff. Expensive disappointing food (green salad comes slathered in unasked for Waldorf dressing). Beer pumps with no beer. 'Good' included breakfast turns out to be Continental. British comes extra!

Beautiful room, staff friendly and...

Liked: Room was beautiful, bed size amazing, that's what I paid for. Bath in room too was lovely. Multiple views was nice and different.
Disliked: No light on bathroom mirror, couldn't see to put makeup on very well.Had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast. We are not continental in this country, and that was all that was included as B&B, felt full english should have been included as standard.

Liked: Breakfast was good, room was nice though perhaps a little on the small side. Dinner was well cooked but perhaps did not warrant the cost though service was good.
Disliked: The room had no where to sit at all and was a little small.
