Liked: The location is 5 star. Accommodation comfortable but tired. The breakfasts were disappointing. My husband’s full English was overcooked on the first morning and not much better on the second. No imagination in the breakfast menu and needs updating. Orange juice tasted awful. More effort chef!
Disliked: The breakfast.

Exceptional

Perfect in every way!

Liked: We liked everything! The location, the view, the hotel itself, the room, the meal, the staff, the service—everything was perfect. The hotel kindly gave us a free upgrade to a sea-view studio with a bath, as they had the availability, which was a wonderful surprise. We loved the attention to detail in the room, including the sweet little package of sleep aromatherapy products. The staff could not have been more helpful. We enjoyed coffee as we sat in the garden in the sunshine before leaving for home after making some special memories.
Disliked: Nothing at all - it was such a beautiful place.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful...

Liked: The Rosevine is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location on the Cornish coast. It’s set in a quiet location a short walk from the beach.
Disliked: We were informed prior to arriving that the Restaurant and bar would be closed for business reasons for two of the four days we stayed. The indoor swimming pool was out of use for the whole of our stay and we had no hot water in our room for the same period. We were allowed to use another room (without our wonderful sea view) to shower etc but on the whole found this inconvenient.

Beautiful relaxing peaceful heaven.

Liked: Beautiful place, the hotel was lovely, very tasteful decor. The view was stunning and the location was perfect, so peaceful just the sounds of nature. We were very glad there was no music pumping out to ruin the lovely peaceful atmosphere. The staff were wonderful too, they were polite helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing to dislike, it was all perfect.

Unfortunately the room was so...

Liked: On arrival we were blown away by the breathtaking location, the beautiful gardens and the gorgeous sea view. The receptionist told us that our card details were needed to be kept as sometimes guests leave without paying. We booked the swimming pool for the evening and were shown to our room very excited for our stay. At first glance our supposedly upgraded room was lovely, nice and big with a sea view and a little balcony. However this was where our excitement ended and we left. The room absolutely stank of something awful, there were so many stains on the carpet, well if you can call it a carpet. The bathroom had thick black dirt all round the skirting, the toilet had urine on the sear and the floor was wet. The room needed some serious TLC but that added to its charm. The stains on the bed and floor etc and the awful smell could not be ignored. We just couldn’t stay. Remember this is a 5* hotel! We went to complain and were offered a half hearted apology. The manager didn’t even come and see us and we were told to contact booking.com as that’s who we booked through and that was that. We left very disappointed
