Pleasant - 3.0 out of 5

Pleasant

Liked: Beautiful pub. We've been regular visitors for years with lots of walks on the Ridgeway from here.
Disliked: Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. Usually it's spot on but this particular evening it was awful. My wife had risotto which was like warmed up rice pudding and I had pork which was tough. We were both unwell that night. Accommodation was great we'll definitely be back but maybe not on a Sunday evening stay over if the same chef is on!!

Overall we had a pleasant...

Liked: Very nice breakfast and good choice.
Disliked: The lighting in the room (No 1) is very dim especially the bathroom. High ceilings with spotlights cast a shadow down on the mirror and I struggled to see. A light directly above the mirror would solve this. Also a towel ring for the hand towel and a shelf in the bathroom would really help. We had to place our toiletries on top of the toilet cistern, not very sanitary.
