Great stay in a beautiful...

Liked: The location is just spectacular, our room overlooked the Loch which was very beautiful. Staff is very friendly and the food is great.
Disliked: Very strong kitchen smell in the corridor.

Lovely hotel with excellent service

Liked: Heather, the owner was so kind & friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Room was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast options were excellent and very tasty. Evening meal was also excellent.
Disliked: Wifi was very poor. Paid extra for a faster speed but even then it was poor. Having said that, this is a very rural location so patchy wifi wasn't surprising

Liked: Comfotable room. Very good breakfast. Spectacular views from hotel. Excellent location ( for me ) although some people might find it is a bit isolated. I stayed here last year.
Disliked: Bedroom was a little cold but so was the weather. Warmed up when I turned on the heater.

A very restful and memorable...

Liked: The property is located in beautiful surroundings in the north-west of Scotland. The view from our room across the loch was stunning. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. With limited dining options in this part of Scotland (especially on a weekend) it was great to have the convenience of an onsite restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Only a few minutes drive are the UK’s most stunning beaches - Oldshoremore, Polin, Sheigra and, of course, the famous Sandwood. Best for swimming would be the beautiful Oldshoremore, a standout. Wish we could have stayed longer. A very restful stay. Highly recommend this property.

Guests are an inconvenience. Avoid.

Liked: Wonderful view. Comfortable bed. Nice toiletries.
Disliked: The owner Heather was reasonably pleasant and helpful. Her husband was rude and not welcoming. He made you feel like you were an inconvenience. You must comply with all timings. You must go down to the bar, even if you’re in the restaurant, to order your food and then walk back up to the restaurant, even though the order is taken by the same person (husband). If we’d know in advance we would have driven the extra hour and a half to avoid the awful atmosphere and poorly cooked evening meal. Avoid this place it’s just not worth the stress.
