Amazing staff

Liked: The hotel is situated a couple of minutes from tube station and the High Street. For me it was the staff that made this visit memorable, they were 5 star first class. They litrally went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble and exceptionally helpful. The Royal Kensington should be very proud of every single member of their staff.Room clean, kitchenette excellent as was shower and towels.
Disliked: Our hotel room booked as a King twin was very small although reception had said it was a spacious room, I think he probably thinking of a different room, it really wasn't, although the beds were nice and big.The bed literally up against the window was very drafty but again the heating was good so not really a problem.

Disappointing

Liked: The hotel is in a great location. It’s nice and quiet, and Earl’s Court tube station is a 5 minute walk away. The staff were really friendly and helpful. When we asked if we could change rooms they sorted this out for us very quickly. We also really liked the kitchenette in the room.
Disliked: The small double room that we booked was tiny! The strange shape and layout of the room did not help. With nowhere to put our two bags, they took up most of the floor space. That particular room should be sold as a single room and at a cheaper rate. The bed was not a double bed it’s a slightly larger single bed. Two pillows side by side would not fit next to each other without overlapping and hanging off the bed. It was wedged between a wall and a desk, my husband slept on the wall side and felt claustrophobic, we both had a terrible nights sleep. So as soon as we woke up we asked if we could be moved to another room. They only had another small double room available, so we took a look and decided that the layout of the new room was better. In both rooms the carpets are heavily stained, have scuffed skirting boards and limescale on the bathroom appliances. Not what you would expect, as when enter the hotel and reception it is immaculate. We booked this hotel based on the amount of good reviews, perhaps the larger rooms are of a better standard. However we were really disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again.

Lovely clean, comfy hotel in...

Liked: Lovely, clean and comfy. Friendly helpful staff. Good location, 5 min walk from the tube. Loved the complimentary toiletries and Nespresso machine in the little kitchenette. Our double room was very small, but we were easily able to pay for an upgrade to a bigger room.
Disliked: Limited TV channels, no Netflix etc. the pillows could do with being refreshed, but neither of these things impacted hugely on our enjoyment of our stay.

I stayed with my two...

Liked: Staff were welcoming and efficient. The welcome card and drink were a great touch. The location was good and the fact that it was a controlled entry door made us feel very safe. The room had a mini kitchenette in the wardrobe which would have been useful if we stayed longer. There are no food options at the hotel but plenty of places near by to eat or buy things to bring back to the room.
