Liked: Everything from the welcome, to the tour, to the complimentary area, to the room, to the shower.
Disliked: Nothing.

Nice little place but a...
Liked: The room was nicely furnished. The host was really friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Very small bathroom and didn’t like being on the top floor with no access to a lift. Would also be nice if breakfast was served later than 9.30.

Overall decent
Liked: Comfy, breakfast, stress free experience
Disliked: The receptionist assured me in a condescending tone that I was wrong that the booking.com listing for the room I booked did not have a bath on it. I knew it advertised a bath with the room as I had booked it earlier that day, for the specific reason it had a bath. It's still there on booking.com. A shame to be treated that way. Everything else went very well including being checked in quickly when we were in a rush, and having parking sorted out quickly.

Disliked: Bed was small. Friends were due to stay with us as a group but one couple had their room cancelled a week before with the reason of ‘uninhabitable’

I would never stay here...
Liked: The hotel is located near the beach
Disliked: The hotel is beautiful but dated, the shower fan was noisy, the wallpaper was chipping away from the wall. Breakfast was okay. Service was bad.On service - I inadvertently booked two rooms for the hotel and was only aware of my mistake when I got two confirmation emails from the hotel on Friday - my trip was on Saturday. I understood that the policy was not to offer a refund if the booking is not cancelled three days before, so I knew it was not a given that I would get a reimbursal, nevertheless I cancelled the second room immediately and rang the hotel to let them know of my error. I hoped that the three day policy was to protect the hotel against people who are 'no shows' I was not a no show - I had made an error. I also knew the hotel could use its discretion to override this policy. The hotel manager was first of all abrupt on the phone and then continued in this vein when I met him in person - he said he couldn't make the decision about any kind of reimbursal but equally couldn't let me speak to anyone who could make the decision. The customer service I experienced was breathtakingly bad. The hotel manager lacked the common sense not to give someone the run around but also lacked the empathy to see how frustrating it was to be a paying customer and still treated dismissively. I followed up on email with the 'decision maker' who was able to confirm the hotel manager's initial response that no they would give me no refund, no reimbursal, no alternative night, nothing. The whole thing was laughably badly managed. I would never stay here again. I spent £130 on the room I stayed in and £120 on the room I didn't stay in.
