OK- not family friendly if...

Liked: The beds.. my goodness, they were very comfortable.The beer/cider was fresh and good value for moneypet friendly : BONUSthe food .. was delicious!can't say much on the area as it was late Saturday & everything was closed on the Sunday. we went to Alnwick Castle and had a look around was good walk - lovely area.
Disliked: nothing for the kids to do at all.no sheet or cover for the quilt for the sofa bed in the family roomthe bathroom in the smaller room was dirty, hair in the shower on the wall, toilet wasn't the best The "family" room, the lighting was shocking, may as well have been in the dark. someone has fixed a shelf in the bathroom above the taps, you can't turn the tap on properly because of the shelf gets in the way we had no heating, it was so cold but the floor below had the heating it was too hotit's not family friendly for an overnight stay if the kids are under 18 - 16 minimum, I would say.

Liked: Travelling with my sister , it was a random pick to stay at the Queens Head based on availability and price. You do have to be mobile as there are quite a few flights of stairs and it is above a pub. If you aren't tolerant of noise on the weekend then you would likely complain. 😁. Dog friendly which is a plus as we got to spend breakfast with a lovely girl named Crumble!!
Disliked: There were no issues. I could see the parking lot could fill up but really nothing to complain about. Your right in the middle of town walk everywhere minutes from lovely hikes.
