Hotel Description
If a 'Stay aboard the Queen Mary for an experience unlike any other.' is for you, board the Queen Mary Hotel for an experience unlike any other. Once a world-class ocean liner, the Queen Mary, now permanently stationed in Long Beach, offers a real glimpse into what transatlantic travel was like during the 30s, 40s and 50s. With its impressive history and tradition of excellence, the ship is more than just a place to rest one's head. It's also a place where you can take historic tours, see paranormal attractions, browse shops, relax on the spacious sun deck or enjoy fresh seafood at Chelsea Chowder House & Bar. Even in the rooms you'll find an impressive history, rich tradition and old world elegance. The ship's 346 original first-class staterooms and nine suites, adorned with rich wood paneling from all over the world, Art Deco built-ins and original artwork found on the ship during her heyday, all pay homage to a bygone era. Enjoy one of the last luxury ocean liners of its kind.

Very Nice

Liked: The Brunch and the Staff
Disliked: The bathtub really needs to have a handicapped bar installed. The tub is original so the inside slants down from the sides to the center making it difficult to stand. All those in my party had the same issue in their rooms but one did have a bar to hold on too. All the rooms should have that bar.

Awesome, looking forward to return...

Liked: Room was spacious (for us and our luggage) with wonderful view of Long Beach and waterfront. Saw dolphins and seals swimming by. Beds were comfortable and large enough with sufficient bedding to suit the weather. Buffet breakfast gave many choices and the servers were very attentive. Other cruise ships docked at the rear of the Queen Mary.
Disliked: Wish we could have stayed longer....

Extremely disappointing! Overpriced and rundown....

Liked: If you drink then you'll be pleased to find that the Cafe and restaurant have an extensive alcohol assortment. We did have a lovely dinner at the restaurant (not the cafe) composed of filet mignon (melt in your mouth no knife necessary delicious), potatoes and seasonal veg. The bread service $8 for 5 little rolls was delicious also, the only negative was for 3 people it wasnt enough bread. Our server MJ was pleasant and gave a solid recommendation when prompted. We were originally going to dine at the café but as we were being seated the gentleman seated at the table in front of us has just received a replacement meal on the house due to the original being of poor quality/preparation.
Disliked: The first room they put us in was on the bottom deck literally 3rd class, it was dirty. We moved to the room next door, the staff explained that no other rooms were avaliable- total lie-the room was also still dirty (bathroom floor and toilet seat). No shower curtains, the toiletries were empty and the room was right next to the ramp where they do all night tours so that was loud! 3/4 of the ship was completely closed off, the back end of the ship is literally falling apart (this is where our room was). The engine room is almost completely closed off, none of the other ballrooms etc are open for guests to view. You have to pay an additional 35 dollars a person to see slightly more of the ship. I personally spoke to 5 other guests who all had the same experience and were located on the same deck as us B DECK! It seems as though the ship and staff are more interested in catering to the ghost hunters who roam the halls all night then the paying customers who are trying to enjoy their hard earned overnight visit or vacation. The ship is falling apart, the carpet in the entire back end on our deck and the deck above were pulled up and terrible. You can plainly see where any sort of renovations or upkeep have stopped. I could have spent 300 dollars and stayed at the beach in a much nicer hotel. Terrible experience. 300 dollars plus 30 dollars for hotel parking a night, in a lot that was almost completely empty! Never ever will I stay here again and I will definitely not book a room through this app as they seem to give you the worst rooms possible because you can't fight it or demand refund!!
