Liked: Beautiful decor (& Christmas decor), exceptional room and very everything very comfortable. Complimentary refreshments, bed mints, and turndown made a lovely experience.

Liked: The location was perfect! We enjoyed a lot the food in the Atico restaurant. We were surprised by the team with a bottle of champagne for celebrating our anniversary in the room and also the last day we had a small surprise during breakfast. The concierge team suggested us very nice restaurants and also did the reservation for us!Thank you to all!

Liked: Excellent stay in Madrid. Personnel was very attentive they even made surprise cake for our son’s birthday.

Not worth of money

Disliked: The breakfast was a very bad one for 30€ per person. The saloon was so small that we should wait for 20min to have a table for breakfast. As we had our train at night we asked for at least two hours late check out which they didn’t even accept one hour!!! For such expensive rooms we were expecting very much more

Disappointing and not worthy of...

Liked: Location is great.
Disliked: This hotel was excellent when we last stayed there in 2018/19 but a lot of things were very disappointing on this return visit. The breakfast was very expensive and the quality of food was not great. Service was slow, items were missing from our order and despite advising breakfast was up to 11am, at around 10.30am the staff would start to clear everything away, making a lot of noise and it was just such an unenjoyable experience. On the last day we decided to have breakfast outside of the hotel. The breakfast supplement is a rip off and I'd advise any guests to forego this and go get breakfast at any of the cafes/restaurants within 1-2 minutes walk. There were so many wasps around the outside balconies so they could not be enjoyed either, why did the hotel not fumigate and deal with this? Staff generally tried their best but were just not up to the 5 star standard we had experienced in the past. For somewhere that is meant to be 5 star, it was too much hard work. This hotel should be downgraded to a 4 or even 3 star. We won't be inclined to return, which is very sad, but it just wasn't a great experience this time.
