Relaxing place to stay.

Liked: Plenty available for breakfast which was self service in a private kitchen.The location of the property was good for the places we wanted to visit.We were made to feel very welcome by the staff.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

Liked: We stayed two nights just before Christmas - the accommodation was very comfortable and warm. Plentiful supplies for breakfast, including fresh milk. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, the service from the charming young staff was delightful, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would thoroughly recommend the Porterhouse.
Disliked: That we couldn't stay longer!

Liked: Sufficient for our needs. Tea, coffee, cereals available for breakfast. We were able to eat in the pub restaurant. Despite the room being above the bar and restaurant the sound from below was not intrusive.
