Unique location, beautiful, comfy rooms,...

Liked: Beautifuly decorated, modern, clean rooms and bathroom, comfortable bed, welcoming staff. Delicious food in the restaurant.
Disliked: Late breakfast time (starts at 8AM) meant that we could not enjoy the advertised full Scottish breakfast, but the hotel offered leaving a continental package for us. However, this included only a bowl of cereal with milk and a cereal bar for each, whereas I had imagined a continental breakfast option of sandwiches with cheese and bacon at least, so I wouldn’t recommend choosing this but opt for booking a room only, with no breakfast if you’re leaving early.

Very good

Liked: location and price
Disliked: I have stayed before and booked again due to the exceptional breakfast, however the cooked breakfast this morning was very disappointing. The 2 fried eggs were burnt, the bacon and mushroom barely cooked, the lorne sausage dry and overcooked. The saving grace was the selection from the cold buffet.

Basic room to sleep in

Liked: Bar and dining area was good. Although there was a lack of space when dinners were booked, no where to sit and have a drink at the bar as a guest. Times were restricted due to people coming in for lunch /dinner the tables were booked out. Not impressed with this as a guest who was staying in the hotel, not a good set up I felt.
Disliked: The fact I couldn’t use the bar when I wanted to, some of the staff were miserable, they were more interested in people coming to dine. The rooms could do with a makeover, paintwork was not great needs to be painted and upgraded.
