Great location, but very overpriced,...

Disliked: We booked a Deluxe King Room with balcony. It worked out at $640 per night for a 5 night stay.The hotel is in a great location, everything we wanted to do was walkable and 50th street station was just round the corner.Overall we were really disappointed with the hotel. The main annoyance was housekeeping: we arrived in the evening and were tired and went straight to sleep, only realising in the morning that the sheets weren’t fresh and hadn’t been changed from previous occupants. We asked at reception and they were changed, however, receptionist didn’t seem very apologetic about this. A couple of times we popped back to the room mid afternoon and the room hadn’t been serviced yet. Not a big deal but not great. Once the room was serviced but we weren’t left any towels, the old ones were taken but not replaced. We asked at reception for some towels, we got towels but no shower mat. Around the bathroom sink was only wiped over twice I think, a couple of toothpaste splashes stayed with us all week. The shower was an over bath one and not great.The fancy pillows you take off the bed at night were not once put back on when the bed was made, always left on the floor.The balcony was a let down, lovely and big and obviously we didn’t use it as much as we’d have liked as the weather wasn’t great but we had a few morning cuppas out there. A double room with only one chair on the balcony but two tables, we used one table to sit on. The balcony Furniture wasn’t arranged nicely. There was one plant which looked dead which was actually plastic and so old bits of it were falling off. The other balconies had the same plant. If you’re using plastic plants at least have them looking fresh and alive.Talking of plastic the ‘crockery’ and cutlery at breakfast was all plastic! Not only is it not really nice eating and drinking out of disposable it felt terrible throwing away so much plastic every morning.

Liked: Great location, enormous rooms with walk-in wardrobe, lounge area and huge bathroom. Staff were lovely. What more do you need? Would definitely book again!

Liked: Very good localisation, staff very helpful.Everyday a happy hour, white & red wine for free.Good beds and shower.
Disliked: Disappointed about the breakfast. Everything in plastic, very basic. Buffet picture on booking not representative.One out of 2 elevators was broken, long waiting times.Our Air condition was broken the first days.
