Stayed 3 days during 'Memphis in May'. Within walking distance to everything. Great service, especially Kemp and Charles. Loved the ducks. Looking forward to returning.

Fabulous historic hotel that never...

Liked: First time stay for my sister. She was amazed and thrilled and felt pampered.

Liked: It was amazing. The only problem we had was the lighting in the bathroom was not good and the bathroom outlets did not work. Other than that bit was great!

Lovely but blighted by noise...

Liked: This is a gorgeous hotel, the building is stunning. Rooms are nice but very tired and need updating. Bathrooms are so small and there’s no room for anything, not even yourself. The rooms are huge so there would be space to improve the bathrooms. Unfortunately there were two weddings in the hotel on the day we arrived and the noise level was horrific. Staff were sympathetic but did nothing. Doors could easily be closed. The central bar had a pianist but we couldn’t hear him for the two weddings playing different and very loud music. Disappointed hotel guests all round. Aside from that the location is very central and within minutes of everything.
