Stayed 3 days during 'Memphis in May'. Within walking distance to everything. Great service, especially Kemp and Charles. Loved the ducks. Looking forward to returning.

Liked: Beautiful hotel. Many small extra amenities. Wonderfully attentive staff. Great location. Old school elegance. We loved it.
Disliked: The service in Chez Philippe, the hotel restaurant, was exquisite. However, considering the very steep price, we expected a better meal. The food was just average, on par with a mid range chain restaurant.

Liked: The history of the hotel. The old world charm.

Liked: Was put at a room at the end of the hall and every day by 7am there were loud noises. Doors slamming, the sound of carts, people yelling, etc. I think the staff comes in and out of that area. Way too loud for comfort or to sleep through it.

First time to Memphis and...

Liked: Room was very clean and comfortable. We did not stay in it much, but it was still very nice! Bathroom was small but certainly okay. Location to Beale Street was fantastic!
Disliked: Would have liked a continental breakfast.Check in experience was a bit confusing and the person didn't seem to be that experienced. One person in our party was over charged for parking but it was fixed quickly. I was billed 2 times for different costs (totals of the 2 were correct), but neither stated the details of the charges.

Liked: bed was comfortable but too high being only 4ft 11 it made it difficult to get on and off bed
Disliked: No coffee in room. You had to get up and go down to coffee shop . We had a room that ajoined another room and you could hear the occupant on her phone quite clearly . Not sound proof

Excellent hotel with great comfort...

Liked: The hotel was in a great location and the history of the hotel is incredible with lots of artefacts around the hotel. The lobby was stunning and very comfortable, i’ve never spent as much time in any other hotel lobby. Then to top it off the daily duck ceremony was amazing to see as well.
Disliked: The corridors leading to the rooms were a bit dated looking but this is understandable due to the size of the hotel and also adds a bit of the historic character.
