The Parsonage Hotel & Spa is a Four Star Hotel set in 6 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland and offers free WiFi and free parking. York's city center is only 15 minutes' drive away. Built in the early 1840s the building maintains many of its original features. The Fat Abbot restaurant offers classic pub-style food. Guests over the age of 18 are welcome to make use of the adults only Cloisters Spa and Health Club which includes a 16-yard swimming pool spa bath modern gymnasium sauna steam room aromatherapy and salt rooms. Holistic treatments are also available. You can also enjoy a round of golf at Swallow Hall Golf Club a 9-minute drive from from The Parsonage Hotel & Spa.

Excellent country location with spa...

Liked: Have stayed before. The location is good, out of the centre but close enough to travel into the city centre on local buses and close to a shopping outlet centre - again on the bus route
Disliked: No power sockets around the bed and no personal room safe

Good value for a lovely...

Liked: The spa was great with many steam rooms to choose from and didn't have to pay extra or book for the use. Just chilling in the warm atrium with a book was fantastic. Decafe and vegetarian options on breakfast were very welcome although could have been slightly more diverse
Disliked: My friend who stayed in another room said the their room was very cold and didn't warm up at all in the evening which was a shame I would have been disappointed if my room was cold (thankfully mine was a fine temperature)
