This beautifully restored 3-star hotel is in Edinburgh city center just 984 feet from Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station and Princes Street. Rooms each have a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi. The Parliament House Hotel has a quiet location at the foot of Calton Hill on a short traditional cobbled lane. Each stylish room includes a TV and a hairdryer. Many shops the spectacular Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish Parliament are less than a mile away. Edinburgh Bus Station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The MP's Bistro offers a full traditional cooked Scottish breakfast each morning as well as continental options. The Bistro is not open for dinner. Guests can relax in comfortable armchairs in front of the open fire in the lounge bar. The upper floors are accessible by stairs or a elevator. Please note essential remedial work on our elevator will be taking place from the 8th January 2024 to 21st January 2024 inclusive. Our elevator will not be operational during this time and therefore access to your rooms will be via the stairs.

Best hidden gem hotel in...

Liked: Excellent hotel, spotlessly clean, with very friendly staff. Great location tucked away so that it’s very quiet for a peaceful nights sleep, albeit you are in the centre of the city.

Liked: Staff is great and super accommodating. The location is perfect, just a 10 min walk to the Royal Mile but still on a quiet street so there was no noise at night. Hotel was clean and loved the antique design. Upgraded bathrooms!
Disliked: Nothing, it was great.

Liked: I fell in love with this hotel. Small, cozy, authentic Scottish feeling, great staff and very good whisky (cheaper than in almost every place I visited in Edinburgh)

Exceptional

Liked: Charming hotel so close to the city centre. Very comfortable room. The shower was wonderful! Easy walk from Princes Street and Waverley Station. Walking distance to both Old and New Town.
Disliked: Honestly can’t think of anything!
