Very good

Liked: The perfect location, lovely clean hotel and the staff were fantastic couldn't fault them.
Disliked: We took breakfast on our first morning and it was very poor. Bacon not cooked, black pudding only cooked on one side, tattie scone not done properly and my personal hate my egg had a snotty white. Toast was lovely with very nice butter but most of the rest went back to the kitchen.

Ok, but could be better

Liked: Hotel nice. Check in pleasant and staff member very helpful and knowledgeable. Loved the rainfall shower. Price reasonable
Disliked: Decor in room could do with an update. Windows pretty rotten and mouldy, and quite hard to open. Bathroom lovely but sealant round shower was mouldy and could do with a good clean/being replaced. Bed not comfortable and pillows very flat, asked for extra pillows before checkin and even 3 wasn’t enough. Booked a small double room and it is very small, would recommend anyone booking to go for a larger room. Check out quite disappointing, arrived and sat key down and gentleman just took it and said “ok thanks” and went back to his computer without any conversation. All in all good value for money for a place to sleep, but probably won’t stay again.

Liked: Close to station, room clean, nothing too much trouble, staff very friendly and pleasant . Evening meals very good and good to see vegetarian/ pescatarian options available…..beetroot risotto delicious !
Disliked: Didn’t have breakfast as too expensive, I only have a light breakfast but no prices to accommodate that, also felt small bottles of water should be free in room, other hotels offer this as part of the package. Shame I didn’t have a good view!
