Liked: The room and building was stunning! Cleaned to a very high standard and very comfy bed. The cleaners, chamber maids and bar staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa but heard great things
Disliked: On arrival a very cold reception from the lady checking us in. It didn’t feel welcoming and very unhelpful. We saw a cleaner as we got to our room who was much friendlier and pointed us in the direction of our room

Disliked: Food stops very early, cooked breakfast is buffet not cooked to order (even the eggs). Rubbery, soggy, bland.

Liked: The hotel building and decor was very beautiful. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfy.
Disliked: The bathroom had limescale/mould on the shower door. The lighting was poor in the room. Bulb blown in the bathroom.

Liked: Excellent location in city centre close to railway station. Well furnished, understated elegance.
Disliked: Breakfast overcooked and dry sausages. A la carte option expensive and no consideration allowance for breakfast already included. Staff kept us waiting to be seated at breakfast as clearing tables and not monitoring the entrance. Being shown to a table in fairly empty restaurant and then seating people very close when there was plenty of room for some privacy. Heating controls in bedroom not clear so very cold until you re read the instructions closely. No additional privacy on windows to Main Street.
