Liked: How relaxed and comfortable it was, staff were very helpful and accommodating. Room was lovely and it was great to have a bath.

In comparison to many hotels...

Liked: Well located in the centre of Peebles. Lots of parking and nice grounds.
Disliked: The rooms were very small and the water pressure in the showers was terrible which made it impossible to wash hair or have a shower.There weren’t any drawers to put clothes in and hanging space was very limited.

Disappointing

Liked: Location. Comfortable bed and room ,Very good breakfast and meals.Young staff very pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: Advertised as a hotel, but more like a travel lodge or Premier inn. and do it yourself.Not what is expected of somewhere which classes itself as a HOTEL !!!!!No welcome or anyone on the reception desk.No assistance offered.New Year’s eve, no entertainment even the bar was closed so you couldn’t get a drink to toast the New Year.Like a ghost hotel, the bar was the communal area but not frequented by many.

Liked: One night stay, very enjoyable stay
Disliked: The room detracted from what would have been the perfect overnighter. Theroom was a bit small and not really a double room better for one person. Only one bedside table and very little storage, ok for one night but not for any longer. I don't understand why it was allocated when the hotel was very quiet so there must have been a better room available.
