Such a special surprise
Liked: Such a great surprise. We had a really nice stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay there. Both were very different but comfortable. The moon suite was very charming and cozy. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Rooms were very clean .Very pet friendly, even though other guests didn't pick up after their dogs, shame. The breakfasts are amazing. Definitely not your average hotel breakfasts. It is so delicious, and the chef is so kind and talented. Really enjoyed their coffee/tea set up in the rooms. Real coffee and wonderful selection of teas.I have already recommended this little hotel to two people. Very convenient location also.
Disliked: There are not enough trash cans in the rooms if guests are staying more than one night. There is no tv option in case you have kids. It didn't really affect our stay in particular because we were busy doing other things.

Maybe call the office to...
Liked: The true star of The Parador is the gentleman who works in the kitchen every morning for the included breakfast. Honestly, the breakfast was the best part of this stay for us. This dude has to run everything alone in this dining room, cooking, taking orders, cleaning up after people—the works. The food is wonderful and simple but better than any continental breakfast you'd get anywhere else. It's clear that he works his ass off. Give this man a raise and some support, because woah. Also, the Vegan Chai is hands down some of the best chai I've ever had. 10/10 would go back just for a mug.
Disliked: The room description we read when not just booking our room but "upgrading" our room for our party to have a little more room/privacy was utterly misrepresented. A living room with a "separate bedroom" was used on the terrace king suite - if you're looking to house four adults, this is just a big single room. TV is in front of the bed, two chairs in the middle of the room, and a trundle bed against the wall across the room. Not only that, but the trundle bed was missing a nut on a bolt holding the frame together, so when we slid out the bottom mattress, the whole top bed collapsed. We had to move both trundle mattresses on the floor to make it feel safe to sleep on them... Doors barely close to the outside if you have a terrace or to the hallway. We came during a winter storm, and it was freezing. The office was kind enough to move us to a room with two separate sleeping areas, but it was a total downgrade and I don't think it was worth the nearly $1000 for three nights...but hey this IS Santa Fe after all... Unfortunately, as much as we would have loved to come back to this place, I don't feel confident that we should. Clearly, this is a good concept of a boutique hotel, but the owners aren't putting a lot of effort into the maintenance or infrastructure of the old building, nor putting much effort in supporting the staff from what we observed.

A fun reunion trip with...
Liked: It was such a unique property! It was like staying in a guest house. Our rooms and bathrooms are absolutely huge and we loved the community area with the fireplace. Fabulous bath products and the room had a coffee teapot, and a refrigerator which was handy. We felt safe and there was offstreet parking. Breakfast was particularly scrumptious .
Disliked: It was a good 10 to 15 minute walk from the plaza or Canyon Road and it was situated off of a busy road and behind a brewery so there was street noise and music. It was necessary to have a coffee pot in our room but if you need creamer, make sure and arrange for that and also teas need to be picked up at breakfast. Because there is no food or coffee before 8 AM. And, as we are East coaster we were all up at 5 AM . None of the local coffee shops were open before eight or even nine so it was Starbucks or make coffee in your room but again if you plan ahead and have what you need to make the coffee for creamers, that’s not a problem. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and having our coffee and tea. We just did not arrange for the creamers or the tea ahead of time.

Great location and comfortable stay.
Liked: We loved the location on the plaza as well as the included, made-to-order breakfast. The room had its own private patio and code-locked doors which was also appreciated. No key to hang on to!
Disliked: There possibly should be ventilation installed in the bathrooms of the casitas. Also, there was a fancy bidet in the bathroom...but went unused because it seemed to be inoperable despite being plugged in.
