Stay above a historic pub?...

Liked: Adorable place. Great staff. Excellent location.
Disliked: We knew ahead that it would have some noise from nearby trash drops and pick up and that was true. And we knew it would be a climb up to the top floor. They can’t change these things so it’s good to accept them and be aware.

Liked: Excellent location, just one station from kings cross. Beautiful bedroom with amenities. Friendly staff. Really comfortable bed and flat screen with Netflix included
Disliked: It doesn’t have a lift, so prepare yourself for a lot of stars, though the staff will help you with your luggage if requested

Good, but since the rooms...

Liked: staff are good, the rooms are always very clean, the room with a balcony is great, as the level of noise in the early hours on the road facing rooms is horrendous (rubbish collection and beer deliveries are my favorite at 6.30/7am).
Disliked: you used to leave fresh milk in the fridge, this was a favorite for any tea drinker. I have been using your rooms for about 7-8 years and they are now starting to look very tired, paint chipped and stained carpets. I would recommend you refresh and repaint the rooms, just need a lick of paint throughout. Due to the noise for front facing rooms, you can not leave the windows open, so the air conditioning needs to have a very quiet mode at night.

Liked: I stayed here the night before an early fight from Heathrow and I was so happy with the whole experience.The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I decided to eat in the pub and the menu and food were also great. The location allowed for an evening walk to some other great pubs, also not far from St Pauls Cathedral, and the river, and the two minute walk to Farringdon station allowed me early and easy access to the airport.
