Hotel ok. Bar food and...

Liked: The hotel was adequate but the bar food and the spa were laughable. There was one member of staff manning the bar and trying to sort the food. Everyone’s orders were wrong it reminded me of Fawlty Towers. The spa area said the pool was at capacity so they took my mobile number to ring when we could access……… still waiting

Underwhelmed and frustrated

Disliked: 1 Used as a stay for contractors working away.2 expensive in the bar, they but is suppose they can charge what they want as it's miles from any other pubs. ( 1 pint of lager & 1 single gin & tonic £14.50 )3 pool and spa area needs upgrading, the pool doesn't have a shallow end, it's all 1.6m deep. Both ends, the Jacuzzi is far to small, max four adults, 2 per side and that's with your knees up so you don't touch the person across from you. The steam room was ok but also small and the sauna was small. The lockers in the male changing room which was cramped and scruffy took £1 coin but the female changing room was different, you had to have a padlock for the lockers, we was told they have yet to change the female lockers to the same as the males yet the male lockers had been changed over from padlock to coins. Ridiculous. 3 months ago.4 There was a wedding on so in a mix sized hotel wasn't ideal, 2.30 am wedding guests were running up and down the corridor outside our room, shouting "let me in, let me f**king in you f**cking tw**ts" they should put wedding guests in their own area with rooms away from other guests, then they can should and bang doors at all hours to their hearts content.5 Room, The area we was in was the furthest from reception and cool, we had a wall heater in the room which was not or miss wether it worked or notThe bathroom was of an ok size for a weekend stay, no longer than 3 says I'd say, the shower was good with lots of hot water and a good amount of pressure.Finally, the hotel need to sort out their key card situation, my wife was given an extra key the second day we was there as I was already in the pool away from her and she needed to get in the room, they have her a key which cancelled out mine so I had to get a newish card to get in the room which cancelled out the card my wife got earlier, nightmare.

Not the best and

Liked: Reasonably clean, room was cold and radiators locked off.
Disliked: Had a car stolen off my truck and was told unfortunately where I had parked my truck there was no CCTV. This was after whilst booking in I had made enquiries as to the security of the car park and was told it was very safe and there was lots of CCTV. In truth the only CCTV is at the entrance and exit. Contractors beware as I have since discovered this isn’t the first instance of things being stolen.
