Fantastic Price, Great Facilities &...

Liked: The property was lovely and in a beautiful countryside setting. The staff were amazing and friendly and helpful. The bar area was great and cosy, and the colouring table was a nice touch too. The option of a spa and treatments was amazing too!
Disliked: The bar drinks were quite expensive, especially when compared to the hotel room/food etc which was very reasonable - however we were happy to enjoy a couple of drinks as the rooms were so well priced.The bathroom was very cold, avoided a relaxing bath because of this.

Liked: Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Room was a bit rough around the edges. Heating didn't work. Tv remote stopped working. Empty bottle of shower gel. Moved to a second room and all was fixed

A pleasant stay

Liked: Bathroom facilities were really good. Spa facilities were really good and breakfast was fab too.
Disliked: The bed! Room 704 has a double wooden bed. Just touching it made it squeak. It was awful and it swayed. We ended up putting the mattress on the floor to sleep! Furniture (chairs) really need updating.

Splendid stay!

Liked: Extremely warm and friendly staff! Facilities are excellent. The food was also very good. The breakfast was excellent. Elsa (waitress).was an absolute delight, and what an asset she is to this hotel. I used the spa facilities, swimming pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi, lovely addition, and a rare find in a 3* hotel! All clean and no issues.I'm not sure why this hotel has a score of 7.2. It deserves a lot higher. I am a travel agent, and I have stayed in many hotels over the years- This hotel should score more like 8.5 to.9 based on its rating and not compared alongside 5* hotels.It's a lovely place for families, solo, business travellers and couples alike..I imagine it's lovely in the summer with numerous outdoor seating areas and its rural location. This spot is also perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.The management is aware of some tweeks that need attending to such as stair/hallways carpets, and a refurbishment programme is currently underway. Fabulous value for money! I will definitely stay here again as I have family in the area.
Disliked: Nothing really..if I had to say anything, it would be that a bottle of water and glasses in the room in addition to the tea and coffee facilities would be welcome.

Very average. Lack of WiFi...

Liked: Staff were good. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: WiFi in rooms at far end of building 800+ was non existent. Reported 3 times over course of stay but nothing changed. Batteries in TV remote were dead. Tapas was expensive for what arrived, a virtual snack, not a meal - poor value for money. Salmon salad the following evening was good, though small portions. Property looks tired.

Spa great, but the hotel...

Liked: The spa was lovely, peaceful and not crowded. Particularly liked the sauna. Receptionist was friendly and night manager informative.
Disliked: My shower immediately flooded even onto bedroom carpet, the move to remedy was slow and not complete - still got wet bedsocks doing my teeth at bedtime. I booked a double room and was given a twin. There were no regular plug sockets near the beds. The meal in the bar took 45 mins to arrive and portions were smaller than I anticipated.
