Liked: Everything about it, the history of it, the original wooden beams everywhere! amazing hotel, the receptionist guy who also waited until 10:15pm so I could check it even though check in ended at 9pm!!

Great but could be fantastic...

Liked: Lovely property in heart of Bridgwater. A lit if character yo property, friendly staff and a lkvely unsuited room. Good breakfast
Disliked: However the bed was uncomfortable, poor base mattress which had tried to be disguised with a topper. Far too soft and you could feel the springs. Poor ventilation in bathroom.No mention of surcharge for dog until booked then on terms and conditions. Please make one aware on your booking.com pages

Liked: A lovely hotel, clean, friendly and excellent food
Disliked: The old vicarage is a wonderful hotel with wonderful hosts and a good place to base yourself to travel around however the immediate area in Bridgwater itself is horrible

A Great stay at the...

Liked: Visited the old vicarage recently. Quaint quirky place. Has all the pros and cons you'd expect from a 400yr old property, creaky stairs and traditional fire places absolutely stuffed with interesting features, but for me the thing that sets this apart from other places were the staff. They felt genuinely happy to help and the service was impeccable! Food was very good quality and real value for money too. I do not hesitate to recommend this location and will definitely be staying there again. Well done all!
Disliked: Genuinely great stay with traditional rooms and features, I do wonder if some of the quirkyness so strongly showcased downstairs could be transferred upstairs too the rooms too but absolutely no complaints!

Liked: Overall a homely space. With lovely staff.
Disliked: My soft-boiled eggs were closer to the hard-boiled line. However, this is quite hard to get right, and different people like their eggs in different ways. The rest of the breakfast was lovely.
