Great B and B in...
Liked: The Old Post Office is in a great location in Lanchester with various places to eat close by. The facilities are excellent with great attention to detail including bathrobes, fresh milk and homemade biscuits. The room was spotlessly clean and Keith a very welcoming host. Breakfast was ordered the night before at a time of our choice which meant everything was freshly cooked. Great local ingredients and the most delicious bacon!
Disliked: Nothing to dislike, really enjoyed our stay

Very good
Liked: An unusual b and b, which, as the title suggests, was an old post office. Very quaint with a small guest sitting room and dining room with lots of personal touches. There are three upstairs bedrooms, one of which sleeps 4 and has views over the street. Coffee, tea, chocolate, and homemade biscuits. With a small fridge in the hallKeith cooks breakfast, which is ordered the night before. Home-made bread and free-range eggs. Plus, different cooked options, fruit, cereal, and yoghurtThere is a direct bus into Durham from the village
Disliked: Ideally, a heated towel rail would be useful, as towels did not dry fully.
