Good pub food and friendly...
Liked: The food was surprisingly good in terms of flavour and overall quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The room was very dated in terms of the quality of the fixtures and fittings. The bathroom felt like a public toilet and felt very bare and cold. The carpets throughout the landings and bedroom were not in good condition. The room, in general, felt cold, as did the bar area. The bar just needs some attention paid to the type of seating available and the furnishings to make it feel warming and more cosy. In an old building like that, you should feel like you are being hugged upon entry, and it shouldn't feel uninvited or cold.

Very helpful and cheerful staff...
Liked: Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast.
Disliked: There is character and tatty. I'm afraid this property needed a good spring clean. Shower very weak. Car parking was very limited and the access to it and actual space was very tight. Most certainly overpriced.

The staff were very helpful...
Liked: The property is old, but we knew that. The room was small but it was warm and comfortable. So no complaints.
Disliked: We could have done with an extra chair but as we were only there for two nights again no complaints there. Parking the car was a little bit tricky.

Period style hotel near Bristol...
Liked: Staff were friendly.Location was convenient for me as close to my family and Bristol city centre.Hotel and room were clean & tidy.Room was comfortable & nicely furnished with antique / period style furniture.Bed was reasonably comfortable.English breakfast was ok and enough but better quality sausage, bacon & beans would have made it perfect.
Disliked: My bed had a thin summer duvet which wasn't warm enough for Winter and near freezing temperatures although there was an additional electric radiator if needed. Nevertheless, I did feel a little too cold at night. The on suite bathroom was cold as there no radiator or other form of heating so it's important to keep the door closed to prevent the bedroom from getting cold.Old plasma style, non-smart TV and too small to see. But ok. Many hotels now have larger smart TV's available from which you can cast your favourite apps such as Netflix which makes for a more pleasant stay especially when the weather is too poor to do anything.
