A real treat to stay...

Liked: The breakfast was an unexpected delight. A fellow guest said that we would be in for a treat and we certainly were. The ambience of The Old Deanery is pleasantly informal but the standard of service and food was exceptional. The staff and our hosts were lovely. The building and grounds were beautiful and the situation next to the Cathedral was ideal for walking around the many delights of this small city. We were lucky to stay on a Wednesday evening as there was a vibrant market the following morning. We hope to stay again and sample the food in the restaurant in the evening.

Very enjoyable !

Liked: Enjoyed our breakfast, it was well thought out and very enjoyable
Disliked: I struggle with stairs ! But took my time , they put us into a lovely room at the top of the stairs .

Perfect location to visit Ripon...

Liked: Beautiful period house with interesting features. The staff made us welcome and at home immediately. Private car parking. Great location for walking and exploring the town. We plan to return in the spring or summer as they have a lovely garden.
Disliked: I think our bedroom number 11 has still to be refurbished - the bed needs a new mattress and pillows. Breakfast was interesting as a one-off experience. The coffee needs improving.
